Josep Martínez specializes in asset management and alternative investments.
His career includes leadership roles in the alternative investments division of Trea Asset Management (a Spanish asset manager with more than €10bn in assets under management). At Trea, he was responsible for creating and overseeing multiple investment vehicles, as well as analyzing and structuring numerous transactions for the group's corporate finance division.
Before joining Trea, Josep worked as a Manager at Strategy&, the global strategy consulting firm affiliated with PwC, where he served as Project Manager on one of the firm's most strategic projects for a high-impact client in the automotive sector. He was also a Manager on EY's Transaction Advisory Services team, focused on Purchase Price Allocation projects and fairness opinions.
He began his career in Audit at Deloitte, working with clients such as Grupo Damm, and was a teaching assistant at ESADE.
Mr. Martínez holds an MBA from the Darden School of Business (University of Virginia) and a degree and Master's in Finance from ESADE. He is fluent in Spanish, Catalan and English and has a basic knowledge of French.
